Functional Massage Therapy is a movement-based, assessment-driven approach to Registered Massage Therapy. Sessions focus on identifying and addressing joint restrictions, movement patterns, and the root contributors to pain or dysfunction. Treatment may include joint mobilizations, stretching, traction, breath-supported techniques, and targeted hands-on work. Sessions are performed with the client clothed to allow for ease of movement and a more dynamic treatment approach. When appropriate, focused hands-on techniques may also be applied directly to the skin. This approach is designed to create change without aggressive pressure and can be especially helpful for persistent or recurring issues. ***Please wear or bring shorts and a tank top, sports bra, or comfortable clothing that allows for movement.***.
