This massage will work into the deeper layers of muscle tissue, targeting knots, tension, and chronic muscle discomfort. The therapist uses firm pressure with slow, deliberate strokes, to assist in releasing tightness and anywhere tissue may be stuck. The overall goal is to lengthen, spread, and separate muscle, muscle groups, and fascial planes to enhance the fluidity of movement and increase the range of motion in the joints.
