Hot Stone massage is a type of therapy that uses heated stones, made of basalt, to provide warmth and relax the muscles. During the treatment, the therapist places the stones on specific points along the body to promote relaxation and relieve tension. Additionally the therapist will use the stones as an extension of their hands applying gentle pressure and gliding the stones along muscles; the combination of heat and pressure helps to ease muscle stiffness, improve circulation and calm the mind.

Treatment Overview The treatment begins with a thorough assessment of the client's health history, current symptoms, and any contraindications. The therapist explains the procedure and positions the client comfortably on a treatment table. Because lymphatic vessels are located just beneath the skin, the pressure used is extremely light—much lighter than in traditional massage therapy. Each stroke consists of a working phase, where the skin is gently stretched, followed by a relaxation phase that allows the lymphatic vessels to refill. The pressure remains light to avoid compressing the delicate lymphatic capillaries. Unlike conventional massage, the goal is not to manipulate muscles but to stimulate the autonomic nervous system and enhance lymphatic circulation. Clients often describe the treatment as deeply relaxing and soothing.
