An Arvigo Technique of Mayan Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT) session consists of a gentle massage to the abdomen back and hips to aid in healing reproductive and digestive issues. This massage alleviates tissue congestion and organ constriction to improve the vital flows of energy, blood, lymph and nerves in the abdomen. It may also release emotional and energetic tension from the area. ATMAT can be particularly beneficial for women who suffer from issues such as painful or irregular periods, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and endometriosis. ATMAT can benefit those who wish to enhance fertility, or who want to foster more connection with and more vibrancy in the creative center of the body. A thorough intake will be reviewed for the first session. Generally, 2-3 professional sessions are required to address most conditions. A strong self care component is essential to the effectiveness of ATMAT, and complementary modalities and support tools (such as acupuncture, steams, castor oil packs, etc.) may be recommended to enhance results.
