Jessi’s interest in massage therapy started early on as an adolescent when she became a client due to chronic back pain related to scoliosis. She understands firsthand the importance of creating a comfortable and safe space in which massage therapy is client-focused, trauma-informed, and consent-driven. By empowering others to see themselves as experts on their own body and encouraging them to speak up with any questions or concerns, Jessi ensures her clients are active participants in their massage treatments. Jessi is known for having a gentle, comforting touch but is also happy to provide stronger pressure depending on client preference when indicated. Her approach tends to focus on a combination of Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, cupping, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (gua sha). While Jessi enjoys working with a diverse range of clients, she has found her calling treating pregnant, adolescent, and mature/elderly populations. As a mother of two, perinatal massage is particularly close to her heart and she enjoys providing massage therapy treatment to people both during pregnancy and into the postpartum phase. She has completed courses related to pregnancy massage, pelvic health, caesarean section recovery / scar tissue massage, and is certified as a doula / labour support provider.
