Registered Physiotherapist Heather graduated from Queen Margaret University with a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2018, after completing a Bachelor of Honours Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. As a former varsity runner, Heather has a special interest in helping runners get back on the road or trail through gait analysis, program review, guided exercise prescription, soft tissue, manual therapy and acupuncture. Beyond runners, Heather enjoys helping all active clients achieve their goals, whether big or small, and with injuries head to toe. She aims to build resiliency for the future, while addressing the immediate issue(s). Heather holds additional certifications through Bone-Fit and GLA:D Canada for the management of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis respectively. Heather also has an extensive knowledge of acute and chronic concussion rehabilitation through many post graduate courses, including vestibular (inner ear) rehabilitation. Whether returning to sport or daily life, Heather takes a functional and multifaceted approach to concussion rehabilitation that is active when possible, passive where needed. Outside of the clinic, Heather enjoys running, skiing, travelling, and exploring new trails with her ultra marathoner husband and labrador named Skye.
