Feel free to reach out at [email protected] with any questions.** Tamara Cornehlsen graduated from The Massage School in Easthampton in 2017 after working for a decade in the fields of recreational therapy and social work. As a lifelong athlete and student of the human body, she was called to this work for its physical nature and use of therapeutic touch - which she believes has a vital role in the process of healing and maintenance of good health. Tamara started her private practice in 2018 after the birth of her first child. Tamara specializes in pre-/perinatal and relaxation massage. She pulls from her training in pregnancy, Swedish and Sports massage, Trigger Point therapy and Reiki to provide individualized and client-centered sessions. Tamara aims to provide a safe and tranquil environment in which her clients can tap into their parasympathetic system (the “rest and digest” state) and feel more grounded in their own body. She loves working with caregivers, parents and families – anyone who is seeking balance or relief from stress and/or pain. Tamara is currently pursuing her certification as both a Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy Specialist and Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist. She hopes that this training will help her to better serve families and clients across the lifespan. Tamara lives in Easthampton with her husband and their two toddlers. When she is not in the massage studio, you can most often find her in the garden, on the trail, sharing food with her family or trapped in a fort her kiddos have built.
A massage for new mothers and parents who are dealing with the new demands of parenthood. This is also a safe space for parents who have experienced pregnancy loss at any stage. The focus is on bringing awareness back to this new version of the body, calming the nervous system and reducing muscular tension. A combination of specific postpartum, Swedish, myofascial, and targeted muscular techniques are used. Includes a consultation and 1 hour of massage.
