####Chart Notes **(1) Education** - Bachelor of Science in Biology (University of Santo Tomas) - Massage Therapy Diploma (Vancouver College of Massage Therapy) **(2) Certifications** - Registered Massage Therapy **(3) Areas of Expertise** - Chronic Low Back Pain - Chronic Upper Back Pain - Tension Headaches - Frozen Shoulder - Sprain and Strain Recovery **What I bring to the table** As part of my studies at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT), I was a student intern at the VCMT clinic and finished 550 hours of internship. I’ve had a chance to work with a wide range of individuals that suffer from various issues such as acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, limitations in mobility and headaches. **A little backstory** I was born and grew up in the Philippines and I moved to Vancouver in 2016. I’ve loved the city ever since. I first thought of working in the field of rehabilitation after volunteering at Sunny Hill Health Centre, a rehabilitation centre for children. I saw firsthand how much it meant for the patients to be able to regain functional mobility and it made me want to be a part of their journey to wellbeing. I chose to study massage because I’m able to be 100% hands on with my patients and help them achieve their treatment goals. **Outside the clinic** Whenever it’s sunny and warm outside, I like going to the mountains and checking out new hiking trails. If it’s cold and raining, I’ll be training at the gym for boxing, kickboxing and occasionally BJJ. And when I’m feeling lazy, I’ll plop myself on the couch and binge watch my favourite movies or TV series.
