Shakir graduated from the Master of Physical Therapy program at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, UK. He completed a Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor. Shakir has spent time treating professional athletes in the UK through active rehab and strength and conditioning training. Shakir enjoys working with clients of all age groups to help achieve their goals whatever they may be. He focuses on assisting patients in treating new and recurring injuries through unique, evidence based physiotherapy services. His aim is to empower patients to be confident in self- managing existing symptoms in order for them to take an active and independent approach with their rehabilitation goals. Shakir is a strong believer in the benefit of continuing education and follows a life-long learning approach to his practice. He is currently planning on taking courses in acupuncture and manual therapy in the future. Outside of the clinic, Shakir enjoys traveling, going to concerts, playing soccer, watching his favourite soccer team (Manchester United) play on TV, running half marathons, and DJing!

INITIAL CONSULTATION & TREATMENT (new patients)

• FIRST VISIT AS A NEW PATIENT• You could expect a full assessment, diagnosis and treatment of your condition/injury. The physiotherapist evaluate your movement, strength, and any areas of discomfort using manual therapy, such as soft tissue mobilization, along with specific exercises and self-care advice to promote healing and restore function. You will also be guided through the next steps of your treatment, ensuring the plan aligns with your goals for recovery. • Please provide a 24 hours notice if you require re-scheduling, otherwise you may be responsible for the full fee of your appointment. •
