ACUPUNCTURE Gentle Medicine. Restored Flow. Acupuncture is a quiet, powerful medicine. It works not by force, but by invitation — inviting the body to soften, to regulate, and to remember its natural state of balance. Rooted in the understanding that energy flows through interconnected pathways in the body, acupuncture recognizes that when this flow becomes blocked or disrupted, we experience symptoms of disharmony. By gently restoring movement where there has been stagnation, the body is able to return to its own natural rhythm — often relieving pain, calming the nervous system, and supporting deep healing. My background includes 18 years in acute care nursing and 6 years teaching student nurses. Supporting people through illness, recovery, and vulnerability has been some of the most meaningful work of my life. After a life-changing injury shifted my own health journey, I felt called to explore a more integrative path. Acupuncture became a natural bridge between the clinical world I knew and the deeper healing I had experienced firsthand. As a Registered Acupuncturist, I tailor each treatment to the individual in front of me. The first appointment is 90 minutes so I can truly get to know you and understand the patterns at play — expect thoughtful questions and time for a focused treatment at the end. Sessions may include: • Acupuncture • Cupping • Gua sha • Tuina massage • Acupressure • Electro-acupuncture I also have additional training in Reiki and energy healing, herbal medicine, DBT-informed mental health support, aromatherapy, life coaching, Indigenous awareness, LGBTQ2+ inclusion, and course development. This allows me to hold space in a way that is inclusive, informed, and deeply respectful of your lived experience. Above all, my intention is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. Healing does not need to be aggressive to be effective. Sometimes the most profound shifts happen when the body is simply given permission to return to balance. If you are ready to experience the quiet movement of energy within and connect to your own innate healing, I would be honoured to accompany you on your healing journey. HERBAL MEDICINE A Return to the Wisdom of the Earth There was a time when healing began in the forest, in the meadow, in the garden. Before medicine was manufactured, it was grown. Many modern pharmaceuticals trace their origins back to plants — yet where pharmaceuticals isolate a single compound, herbal medicine honors the wholeness of the plant. Root, leaf, flower, and spirit working in harmony, just as nature designed. Plants were our primary medicine until the early 1930s. Their wisdom has never left us. As a medically trained herbalist with 18 years of experience in acute care nursing and 6 years as a nurse instructor, I have walked in both worlds — the fast pace of modern medicine and the quiet intelligence of the natural world. What I have come to know is this: the body longs for balance, and the earth offers powerful, gentle support in restoring it. Herbal care is not about suppressing symptoms — it is about listening. I grow many of my own herbs, tending and harvesting them with intention. I tincture, dry, and infuse them myself, honouring their vitality. I craft my own topical preparations such as creams and ointments — designed to soothe and restore in a way that feels both practical and sacred. Your journey begins with a comprehensive 60 minute consultation where we explore your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, stress patterns, and goals. This heart-centered assessment allows me to see the full picture — not just isolated symptoms, but how everything connects. After the consultation, I thoughtfully create a formula and plan specific to you. Depending on your individual needs, your herbal prescription could come in the form of capsules, tea, tincture (alcohol extraction), cream, ointment, or salve. Your first preparation is intentionally small, allowing us to gently assess how your body responds. A follow-up within 1–2 weeks gives us the opportunity to reflect, adjust if needed, and continue refining your path toward balance. Plant medicine invites us back into relationship — with our bodies, with the seasons, and with the earth itself. If you are feeling called to a gentler, more intuitive path to wellness, I would be honoured to walk alongside you. Discover the magic of plant medicine and book your herbal consultation today.
