Irene is a registered physiotherapist who completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. Prior to that, she carries a background in Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. She has completed additional courses in acupuncture, TMJ disorders, and ergonomic evaluation. Irene is also a pelvic floor physiotherapist, who has an interest and has done further education in pre and post-natal pelvic floor physiotherapy and rehab. She is motivated to work with patients to set personalized goals and tailor treatments to address the root cause of their pain and dysfunction. She finds interest in any conditions that may be presented in the clinic, ranging from acute musculoskeletal injuries, to chronic pain, postural dysfunction, sports injuries, neurological disorders, etc. She utilizes a hands-on approach with a combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, active care and exercise, and patient education. Being active and helping others achieve the same is what led her to pursue physiotherapy. She especially enjoys running and gymnastics out of the many sports in which she participates, and is motivated to help others achieve the maximum potential in their physical abilities to do what they enjoy.
This visit is for FIRST TIME seeing a pelvic Physiotherapist at PhysioDNA. This visit consists of a full and detailed medical history as well as a focussed orthopaedic physical assessment and treatment. Should it be recommended by the Physiotherapist, this session can include an internal examination.
