Amy Chiriatti, MPT graduated with her Master’s degree from University of Wisconsin- Madison in 2001. She has been working in general out-patient orthopedics for over 20 years. She likes the run-of-the-mill orthopedic issues, as well as specific and unusual cases. Dry needling has been a beneficial tool for her treatment style, as well as other hands-on techniques for soft tissue and joint mobilizations. She develops specific exercises and therapeutic treatments to target individual needs for patients at their current level- whether sedentary or competitive. Her own injuries have created a sensitivity for treating functional deficits and limitations. Her active lifestyle reflects the freedom and comfort that she wants for her clients. Cycling, running, and skiing keep her active when not at work.
Initial evaluation must be completed at first visit in order to assess impairments and functional limitations, set goals, and develop a plan of care. Initial evaluation typically includes: Medical history, relevant tests and measures, applicable functional tests, gait and/or movement analysis, initial Home Exercise Program, patient education and applicable manual treatment.
