Talin Mirzakhanian, Doctor of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization, licensed in the state of California, is the founder of Roots and Needles. She obtained her Doctorate Degree from Pacific College of Health and Science and her Master’s degree from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, Summa Cum Laude. She has her bachelors degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Exercise Science from California State University of Northridge. Talin’s vision is to help her patient’s reach optimal levels of health, feel centered, and experience a sense of overall wellbeing.
During your initial visit, we will comprehensively address your health concerns by delving into your health history, conducting a thorough examination of your tongue and pulse quality, and gathering detailed information through a comprehensive health intake. Together, we will formulate a customized treatment plan, discussing the necessary modalities, the anticipated duration of treatment, and the overall care approach. Your session will encompass acupuncture and any additional modalities recommended by the practitioner, such as Herbal Medicine consultation, Moxibustion, Gua Sha, Tui Na, Chinese Nutrition Counseling, E-Stim, TDP/Infrared Heat Lamp Therapy, and Ear Seeds. Please be aware that cupping & light therapy incur an add on fee of $30 and Gua Sha (a type of manual therapy) incurs an add on fee of $55. Please note that we do offer pediatric treatments.
