Cara is a classically trained, OSTCAN-certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and a recent graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. Before pursuing osteopathy, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Brock University. Having grown up playing and watching sports, Cara understands how important it is to move freely, comfortably, and without restriction or pain. Her approach to osteopathic care is rooted in the principle that the body is a dynamic unit of function, capable of self-healing and self-regulation, with its function dependent on its structure. Every treatment is individualized to the patient. Rather than simply chasing pain, Cara takes a whole-body approach to understand how the body is functioning as a connected system and to identify potential underlying causes of dysfunction. Using gentle, precise, hands-on manual therapy, Cara works with the body to help remove restrictions and facilitate its natural ability to heal and regulate itself. Outside of the clinic, Cara enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her family, friends, and her dog.
