1335 Carling Ave, 604, Ottawa, ON, K1Z 8N8

Fatima began her physiotherapy career in Beirut before relocating to Montreal, where she completed both a Master’s degree and a postgraduate diploma at the Université de Montréal. Over the past decade, her passion for physiotherapy has led her to pursue extensive advanced training and certifications in Pelvic Health, Vestibular Rehabilitation, and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorders. Committed to lifelong learning, Fatima has developed expertise in treating a wide range of women’s health and musculoskeletal conditions. Her primary clinical focus is Pelvic Health, with specialized care in women’s and pediatric pelvic health physiotherapy. Fatima is dedicated to supporting women through all stages of life, including adolescence, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and menopause. She also treats a variety of pelvic floor dysfunctions, including conditions related to cancer recovery, pelvic pain, dyspareunia (pain during intercourse), coccydynia (tailbone pain), and trauma-informed pelvic health care. Fatima completed advanced pelvic health training through the Canadian Pelvic Health Academy, Pelvic Health Solutions, and Herman & Wallace (USA). She was also privileged to be mentored by Marie-Josée Lord, a recognized pioneer in pelvic floor physiotherapy in Canada. In November 2025, Fatima joined the MFM Lab, the pelvic health research center at the University of Ottawa, under the direction of Dr. Linda McLean. As part of a randomized controlled trial, she provides physiotherapy services for individuals experiencing Provoked Vestibulodynia (PVD), a condition characterized by pain or discomfort during vaginal insertion, such as tampon use, gynecological examinations, or intimacy. Fatima is fluent in Arabic, French, and English. In addition to her clinical practice, she has developed and delivered educational workshops focused on pelvic health awareness and women’s wellness, reflecting her dedication to advocacy and patient education. Now based in Ottawa, Fatima is happy to practice at Ottawa Pelvic Health, where she values working within a collaborative, supportive, and pelvic health patient-centered environment. Outside the clinic, Fatima enjoys traveling, cycling, Pilates, and playing the piano, always embracing opportunities for movement, learning, and meaningful connection.
