Damian has been a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Kinesiologist for 6 years since graduating from Simon Fraser University with his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology concentrating on Active Health and Rehabilitation. During his time at SFU he spent 2 years gaining practical experience at Fortius Sport and Health, with various SFU Sports Teams and at Twist Performance and Wellness. He has experience working with athletes of many sport backgrounds and of all age groups. Some career highlights for Damian include working with NBA, NHL, NLL and WHL players during off-season training, watching his athletes winning provincial competitions, and being surrounded by high-level practitioners throughout his time as a student and currently as a young practitioner. Damian believes that all fitness journeys are a collaborative effort with a client and a practitioner (or multiple) together. As a client, gaining an understanding of the “why” is just as important of all other aspects of this journey. Building a strong foundation and mastering the basics are essential to progression and are focuses of sessions with Damian. Outside of the clinic you could find Damian on the basketball court, spikeball arena, golf course or on the cricket field! If he’s not there you’ll likely find him drinking a beer somewhere sunny.
