Dr. Tara Jakubek is a Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Acupuncturist. She aspires to combine her knowledge of Naturopathic and Chinese medicine to educate and guide patients in achieving optimal health. Her areas of focus include, but are not limited to: GI health, autoimmunity, women’s health, and fertility optimization. After her own diagnosis with multiple autoimmune conditions in her teenage years, Dr. Jakubek learned that true healing is individualized, holistic, and addresses the root cause. She is a big proponent for advocating for your own health, as there is no one else that knows your body more than you do. She creates personalized plans that include lifestyle and nutrition modifications, herbal/supplemental additions, along with mindset shifts, and utilizes modalities such as acupuncture, e-stim, and cupping. Dr. Jakubek’s experiences and healing lessons have paved the way to her passion and life’s purpose in helping others reclaim their health. Her goal is to make you feel heard and empowered to cultivate long-standing vitality. She strives to be the Doctor she wishes she had upon her diagnoses. Dr. Jakubek obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Loyola University of Chicago and further completed a Master in Acupuncture and Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. During her time in school, she served as President of the Naturopathic Medical Student Association (NMSA) and was a member on the ILANP (Illinois Associated of Naturopathic Physicians) board. She is also a member of American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and continues to expand her knowledge pertaining to women’s health and fertility by attending the annual MRSI (Midwestern Reproductive Symposium International) conference and working towards becoming ABORM (American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine) certified. Dr. Jakubek is bilingual and can offer services in Polish. As a Chicago native, she is committed and happy to provide services to the community she grew up in.
First acupuncture visit for all patients. ***For BCBS PPO insurance patients, a first office visit is required with a Prosperian doctor before scheduling acupuncture treatment as BCBS requires medical supervision of this therapy for claims to be submitted. For self-pay patients(no BCBS PPO insurance coverage), you may schedule this first appointment without a first office visit.
