With over 10 years of practice, Robert's unique approach to acupuncture includes soft tissue release (dynamic manual therapy) and traditional acupuncture. He utilizes both acupuncture and manual therapy (Lowen Technique) in his clinical practice. His approach to treatment is "pain relief" by determining what the root cause of myo-fascial dysfunction is and how it relates to the rest of the body (symptoms). Robert’s practice is built on the understanding that pain is often rooted in pressure differentials within the body’s tissues. Utilizing DMI, he performs subtle, non-invasive manual releases to re-establish natural fluid and nutrient flow. By leading with these gentle manual techniques, Robert helps "down-regulate" the nervous system, providing a painless entry point for patients who are apprehensive about needles. Robert completed a 3-year Acupuncture diploma program at Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine and completed the board exam in 2015.

Registered Acupuncture (Initial Visit) - Robert DiCenso,

Using both traditional acupuncture and manual therapy techniques to balance healthy tissue function and pain, which are signs that the body is out of balance. When a body is out of balance, the energy is stuck and tissue health is impacted (pain). Acupuncture aims to remedy dysfunction by reducing pain and inflammation along meridian points within the body to restore healing of tissues. Acupuncture points are believed to stimulate the central nervous system. This, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes may stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.
