Jason Barbosa is an Osteopathic Practitioner, a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. With nine years of experience as a massage therapist working with the Ottawa Senators, Ottawa Redblacks, and local martial artists, Jason brings a deep understanding of movement and recovery to his practice. Inspired by his own injury and successful osteopathic treatment, he transitioned into osteopathy in 2024. Outside the clinic, Jason is pursuing a career as a firefighter, enjoys time with his family and puppy Kobe, and competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Initial Visit Osteopathy 60 Minutes

During your initial appointment, we will inquire about your overall well-being, as well as the specific issues and symptoms you are facing. Our inquiries may cover significant illnesses, chronic conditions, medications, past surgeries, and lifestyle aspects such as diet, exercise, sleep, stress levels, and work habits. Additionally, you might be requested to perform simple movements or stretches to assist us in evaluating your posture and mobility. This assessment aims to identify the underlying cause of the issue, enabling us to create a suitable treatment plan. Throughout the consultation, we may employ various techniques, including: -Soft tissue massage/stretching to alleviate muscle stiffness. -Articulation and mobilization of joints and muscles. -Low-grade manipulation. -Exercises and muscle energy techniques. -Offering advice on lifestyle adjustments.
