Meet Mina Mina is a registered physiotherapist with a strong background in sport and women’s health. She completed her Bachelor of Science Honours Kinesiology and Master of Physiotherapy at McMaster University, where she also played on the Varsity Lacrosse team. Her own injury and rehab experiences led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy and she has since gained extensive training and experience working with athletes of all levels, including national and professional teams, with a particular interest in contact sports. Mina currently serves as the physiotherapist for the Aurora Barbarians Rugby team and is pursuing her professional designation as a Sport Physiotherapist through Sport Physiotherapy Canada. Through her work in women’s sport, Mina recognized a gap in women-centred care and pursued advanced training in pelvic health, becoming a registered Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist. Her pelvic health training allows her to work with women across their lifespan, including those with gynecological conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis, as well as prenatal and postpartum clients. She is passionate about keeping women active, strong, and confident in their bodies. Aside from sport and pelvic floor physiotherapy, Mina has extensive training in the treatment and assessment of orthopedic conditions and has special interest in the treatment of acute and chronic low back pain. Her additional training through the Mckenzie Method (MDT) has allowed her to effectively help many clients with disc herniations, sciatica, and stenosis get back to the activities they love. Mina’s approach to care is holistic and individualized, combining exercise-based rehabilitation with manual therapy and modalities such as acupuncture, cupping, blood flow restriction (BFR) training, and athletic taping. She offers care in English, Serbian, Bosnian and Croatian. Outside of the clinic, Mina enjoys doing pilates and strength training, spending time outdoors with her dog, and cooking.
