Melanie is a 2005 graduate of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. She worked in multiple clinics across the city before starting her own business in Bloor West Village called Whole Body Wellness Centre in 2015. It was a thriving business for 5 years until Melanie closed the practice during the pandemic. Melanie continued her work via a home-based practice until she joined Antidote Wellness Lab in 2022, where she instantly became an integral part of the team. Her massage practice is rooted in traditional Swedish Massage, complemented by additional techniques such as myofascial release, passive stretching, active release therapy, KT-taping (Kinesiology Taping), lymphatic drainage, craniosacral, shiatsu, and reiki. She describes her hands-on approach as intuitive, slow to moderate in speed, and adaptable in pressure, “My intention lies in being present for my client. I am a part of their healing journey at that moment.” Melanie is in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and is a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO). She lives in the Junction with her family, embracing both city life and the great outdoors.
