Hello, I’m Kristen Banks, a passionate and experienced Registered Massage Therapist with over 20 years in practice, and a certified Bowen Therapist for the past 14 years. I specialize in treating complex areas such as TMJ dysfunction (TMJD), pelvic alignment, prenatal care, and hormonal balance support — using an integrative approach that blends massage therapy, Bowen techniques, and advanced training in nervous system regulation. My path into massage therapy began after personally experiencing the challenges of injury recovery, including a separated shoulder from competitive hockey. That experience fueled a lifelong passion for understanding the body’s healing processes and supporting others through their own journeys toward better health. My commitment to ongoing learning has led me to pursue specialized training in areas often overlooked in traditional massage therapy, particularly jaw and pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum care, and the hormonal shifts that influence musculoskeletal tension and recovery. My treatments aim not just to relieve symptoms, but to address underlying patterns for longer-lasting results. Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time in nature with my family — mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and camping in the mountains. I grew up in Flin Flon, MB playing hockey and baseball, and have always loved sports and movement. These lifelong passions continue today, including volunteering as a coach for our local high school mountain bike team. The same focus, balance, and resilience that sport and the outdoors require are qualities I bring into my professional work every day.
