Claire Chappel has a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management, which she completed in Australia, Calgary, and Victoria. She helped with the opening of a climbing gym in Victoria, where she later went on to manage the facility for several years. After relocating to Vancouver, Claire pursued her Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia (UBC). During this time, she also completed her AIMS Orthopedic and Manual Therapy Level 1 Diploma. Following her graduation, Claire further advanced her skills by completing the Calibrate Clinical Pilates course. Claire has always been deeply passionate about connecting with and helping others, and movement has been a central part of her life. Physiotherapy provided the perfect opportunity to combine these two passions. She believes that injuries can have a significant impact on a person’s life, but the right guidance can help individuals return to the activities they love or improve their overall function, greatly enhancing their quality of life. Through physiotherapy, Claire aims to empower others to live their best lives and enjoy greater ease in the things they love doing. Claire was initially drawn to the open and supportive atmosphere at Treloar. After shadowing some of the clinicians, she discovered that it was not only a pleasant environment to work in but one that actively encouraged and supported continuous learning. When Claire began to explore clinical pilates and learned that Treloar had a dedicated clinical pilates studio, she knew it was the perfect place for her. Personally, Claire is passionate about movement and physical activity in all forms. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for an active lifestyle with others in a meaningful way, helping them live more active and fulfilling lives. When she’s not working, Claire can often be found bouldering in Squamish, walking her dog at the beach, or cooking something tasty.
