David Hickey, BKin, MSc PT, Physiotherapist David comes from an athletic background, playing varsity soccer and junior hockey while completing his Bachelors in Kinesiology. He then went on to receive a Master of Science in Physiotherapy while developing a passion for CrossFit and Weightlifting. David is a firm believer that movement is often the best medicine and he takes a focused approach in breaking down motor patterns and postural deficits that reduce our functional abilities and cause us pain. Treatments with David often include hands-on therapy, dry needling, soft tissue techniques and corrective exercises. David has worked with elite athletes from a wide variety of sports such as hockey, soccer, baseball, gymnastics, football, track and field, ballet, martial arts and Crossfit. He also enjoys treating individuals of all ages and fitness levels with the belief that all humans are designed to keep moving and this can be made possible by effective rehabilitation, optimizing physical function and preventing future injuries.
For first time patients, this assessment includes a history, exam, treatment and exercise/mobility prescription.
