Matt is a certified kinesiologist and strength & conditioning coach with a passion for helping individuals move better, feel stronger, and perform at their best - whether that’s on the field, in the gym, or in everyday life. He holds both a Master of Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia, and is certified through the ACSM and BCAK. Matt has experience working across the performance and rehab spectrum. He currently designs and implements strength & conditioning programs for the UBC Men’s Rugby Academy, and has helped facilitate pre-season fitness testing with the Vancouver Canucks over the past three NHL pre-seasons. He also has over four years experience at sport medicine facilities leading individuals through active rehabilitation sessions. Matt’s coaching style is grounded in collaboration, education, and long-term development. He brings a thoughtful, individualized approach to each client or athlete, blending evidence-based practice with practical experience. From developing youth athletes to guiding adults through injury recovery, he’s committed to helping people build strength, resilience, and confidence through movement. When he’s not coaching, Matt enjoys walking his two dogs or staying active with a lift of his own.
