Throughout my 27 years as a Massage Therapist and 14 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant, I’ve come to appreciate that every body is different, beautiful, and unique. There are many different approaches to promote healing and finding balance while assisting the body to decrease pain and stress. Thankfully, in today’s world, we are fortunate to have several options to help us get there. Massage and Yoga are two of those ways that can have a profound effect in helping the body heal and gracefully progress through the aging process. It is not always easy, but through work and dedication, I can help you in achieving your health and wellness goals.
Massage
Deep tissue massage provides therapeutic techniques focusing on getting to the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia relieving chronic muscle tension, and pain. It can alleviate stress, improve circulation, increase mobility, and aid in injury recovery.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle specialized massage using the pads of the fingers or hands, focusing on a light, rhythmic skin stretching technique to move excess fluid (lymph) from swollen areas toward the major lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, and groin for filtration. This movement helps to boost immune function by improving lymph circulation, reducing swelling (edema) and inflammation, often seen after surgery or with lymphedema.
