With two decades of training and practice, Mike is a seasoned therapist. His deep understanding and respect for the human body produces results for his clients. His interest in sports and anatomy began at a young age when he became a competitive swimmer. He continued to compete through university, helping him learn to approach physical fitness from a functional perspective, with an emphasis on recovery. While practicing as a massage therapist, Michael continued to pursue his passion for physical fitness and sport, earning certifications in Personal Training and Kettlebell instruction. A Registered Massage Therapist and member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, he also has education in Thai massage, nutrition and osteopathy. Most recently, Mike completed his Level 1 Fascial Stretch Therapy certification. Michael is dedicated to working with the client to ensure their needs and goals are achieved. In treatment, he is an expert in trigger point therapy, cranial work, sports massage, fascial release techniques, strain/counterstrain, and muscle energy technique. Clients come to Michael for chronic and acute issues ranging from skeletal muscular injuries, tendonitis, tenosynovitis, accidents, and migraines. He also specializes in athletic performance maintenance, injury prevention and recovery. Michael works with athletes of all levels including those who compete in elite levels of Crossfit, Triathalon, Marathon, Synchronized Swimming, Olympic Weightlifting, Beach Volleyball, Hockey, and Wrestling.

Your appointment will begin with a clinical assessment followed by therapeutic treatments that may include clothed techniques and stretching, as well as traditional Swedish and advanced therapeutic massage work. Recommendations for self-care at home may follow. When possible, please wear loose clothing to allow for full range of motion during clothed work.
