Dr. Whitty completed his chiropractic training at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 1997. Dr. Whitty also has Bachelor of Science from St. F. X. U and a Masters Degrees of Education and Leadership from UPEI. Dr. Whitty utilizes manual and drop adjustments, Acupuncture, Dry Needling (including Advanced Techniques and Peri-Neural Techniques), Active Release Technique, Graston, and Cranial Sacral Therapy as well as Laser. Dr. Whitty is now using Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging for helping diagnose MusculoSkeletal Complaints. Dr. Whitty is one of the founders and owners of Bodyworks which has been helping Islanders with Back Pain, Neck Pain, Headaches and Sports Injuries for over 20 years. Dr. Whitty’s treatments focus on soft tissue injuries as well as joint and spinal complaints. Dr. Whitty’s passion for movement and fitness is included in all of patient encounters. Dr. Whitty is also a Certified Yoga Instructor and founded and owns Charlottetown Yoga Space located just a few blocks away from Bodyworks, where he teaches a Yoga class every week. Dr. Whitty is a Level 4 CrossFit Coach, and is the owner of CrossFit PEI, the longest running CrossFit Affiliate Gym in Atlantic Canada, where he coaches athletes in Olympic Weight Lifting and CrossFit. Dr. Whitty is a Level 2 NCCP Weight Lifting Coach and a Learning Facilitator for Competition Development Courses (Developing Athletic Abilities, Resistance Training, Advanced Practice Planning, and Prevention and Recovery) for in the National Coaches Certification Program
Patients who have not seen a chiropractor or practitioner at Body Works previously. This 60 minute initial consultation will include a thorough history, physical exam, report of findings and treatment of the complaint.
