Julie graduated from Queen’s University in 2005 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Physical & Health Education. She has over 20 years of experience working in the health & fitness industry in various settings. As a former competitive athlete, hiking and back country canoeing enthusiast, Julie pushed her body to it’s limits - not always safely. First it was an ankle sprain, then another ankle sprain (no big deal right?). Then she suffered a devastating knee injury that required surgery. The timing of this injury impacted her ability to return to playing soccer at the highest level. Not being able to do what you enjoy because of an injury or surgery is life changing. Ever heard someone say, “My body has never been the same since…”? Her past health & exercise history has given her a keen interest in corrective exercise programming, neuromuscular training, manual soft tissue mobilizations and gentle fascial stretching and training, all for the purpose of preventing degenerative joint pain such as arthritis in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, in the knees, hips, foot and hands. She desires to help all all her clients decrease pain and improve their functional strength capacity.
