Masumi’s approach to massage is calming and nurturing, designed to ease the nervous system and promote well-being. In today’s busy world, it’s easy to forget to pause and appreciate our bodies. She offers a cozy, welcoming space where clients can fully focus on themselves and honor the incredible beings they are. She believes a caring touch, paired with genuine attention, helps clients restore energy and reconnect with both mind and body. Masumi offers hot stone massage, her signature Sazanami Gentle Massage, and light-pressure RMT massage. With an intuitive understanding of the body and a trauma-informed, sensory-rich environment, Masumi customizes each session to meet individual needs. At the beginning and end of each session, clients are invited to take three intentional breaths, with optional essential oils like lavender or bergamot, creating a calming rhythm that sets a peaceful, restorative tone. Her treatments are always mindful of clients sensitive to touch, ensuring a nurturing, comforting experience for all the senses. Masumi is also happy to provide care in Japanese.
This therapeutic relaxation massage uses light pressure and oil, incorporating Swedish massage techniques and skin-mobilization methods to calm the nervous system. The experience is soothing and nurturing, allowing the body to relax and the mind and body to reconnect.
