Emily Armstrong is a 2015 graduate of East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, FL. and has been happily practicing at Art of Acupuncture for over a decade. Prior to completing her Masters of Oriental Medicine, she studied Chinese herbalism for two years, interning extensively with Dr. Bob Linde in St. Petersburg, FL. and is a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild. She has is a Gua Sha Specialist and Certified Meditation Instructor. Emily practices Traditional Chinese Medicine, utilizing Acupuncture, Bodywork techniques (Fire Cupping/Gua Sha), Herbal Therapies, and Moxibustion. She specializes in Pain Management, Traumatic Injury, and Perimenopause and Menopause Transition. Emily firmly believes that healing is a partnership between the practitioner and patient and strives to meet her patient wherever they are on their individual journey, without judgement. A treatment session with Emily empowers the patient to take part in their own healing. She has conviction that the root of many modern diseases is diet-related and teaches her patients to use food as medicine and supplementation when necessary.
Full Evaluation and Treatment, 1.5 to 2 hours duration. Depending on your diagnosis your Practitioner may use Acupuncture and adjunct therapies such as Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxabustion, or Personalized Dietary Recommendations may be utilized or prescribed for future treatments.
