Though originally born and raised in Vancouver, Karim’s educational journey spanned across Canada. He earned his Masters in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University after graduating with degrees in Exercise Science and Biology at Concordia University. Having a strong scientific background that is rooted in clinical exercise physiology and biology, he is an advocate for exercise as medicine. Karim’s treatment approach includes collaborative goal-setting and tailored interventions to meet the specific needs of each patient. His treatment style focuses on using functional exercise programs while integrating manual therapy in order to achieve prior level of function and to prevent re-injury. He has treated a wide population of patients ranging in age and activity level including youth athletes and inpatient long term care patients. He has also completed post-graduate courses in IMS/Functional Dry Needling, soft tissue techniques/manual therapy, biomechanics and athletic therapy. Outside of work Karim enjoys playing basketball, travelling and cooking up new recipes.
This is an 60 minute INITIAL Physiotherapy session. Please wear clothing that allows for exposure of the injured region. Arrive at least 10 minutes early for this initial appointment. This session will include initial assessment, history taking, physical assessment and treatment.
