Dr. Wilder Rose (DSOM, L.Ac.) As an artist and musician, Wilder views their acupuncture practice as another form of creative expression, a honed craft for nurturing “life as art as medicine”. Their work is a collaboration with the body’s natural ability to restore, guided by deeply attuning and reflecting back with specific techniques the direction the body is asking to shift in order to alchemize to a more coherent equilibrium and more satisfying experience of embodiment. This is through an understanding of the body as a somatic ecosystem that is intimately intertwined with our outward environments and the world at large and a set of well loved treatment tools that WIlder uses to tailor each individual treatment to the song your body is singing today. “You are a work of art born of nature. Your unique health challenges are a part of a dynamic web of interrelated parts, and it is with this lens that we can see the deeper roots of dis-ease in the body and gently unwind the tangles therein and support your body’s innate ability to restore itself. This medicine of nurturing life serves to reconnect you with your own natural state of balance. The beauty of nature is diversity. It is with this recognition that I work to be trauma informed through a social justice lens and provide inclusive care to all humans. Diversity of backgrounds, gender, body size and shape, neurological status— all spectrums are celebrated here.”
In this extended first session, Wilder will take the time to get to know you, looking at your medical history and begin developing a plan for care. After an assessment, and pulse taking, Wilder will tailor a unique treatment to help bring the body into balance.
