Tracy Banister, M.Sc. PT Physiotherapist (Pediatrics & Orthopedics) Tracy is a physiotherapist with a passion for helping people of all ages move, grow, and thrive. While she has advanced training and a special interest in pediatric care, she also works with adults, providing orthopedic physiotherapy for a wide range of injuries and movement concerns. Tracy completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta and has been practicing since 2015. She brings a warm, engaging approach to care, with a natural ability to connect with both children and adults. Her background teaching dance to children enhances her ability to make movement-based therapy approachable, effective, and even fun. Her treatment philosophy is grounded in the belief that movement is medicine . Tracy combines hands-on therapy, detailed assessment, and individualized exercise programming to help patients improve strength, coordination, and overall function. Tracy has pursued extensive post-graduate training in both pediatric and orthopedic physiotherapy, including: Gross motor development Torticollis and plagiocephaly Pediatric gait and toe walking Orthopedic manual therapy Functional dry needling In her pediatric practice, Tracy works with infants, children, and teens experiencing developmental delays, movement challenges, congenital conditions, and sports injuries. With adults, she treats a variety of orthopedic concerns, helping patients recover from injury, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy. Tracy is also a trusted provider for families accessing support through FSCD and is known for her collaborative, family-centered approach. She ensures that every patient—whether child or adult—feels supported, understood, and confident in their care plan. Her goal is simple: to help each person she works with build a stronger, more capable body—and to feel good doing it.
