Dan graduated from the Master of Science in Physical Therapy program at Queen’s University. His previous education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion at Laurentian University. He worked with the Laurentian varsity cross country and track athletes for 4 years. Working with high-level athletes is what sparked his interest in rehabilitation and the importance of reducing the risk of injury through training. He emphasizes an active approach to rehab, which takes into consideration your current abilities, lifestyle, and most importantly your goals. He uses a combination of manual therapy techniques (e.g., soft tissue release, dry needling, joint mobilization) and exercise prescription in order to optimize outcomes. He believes that physical therapy helps people build the capacity and confidence to move better with treatment plans that are evidence-based and meaningful to you. He has additional certifications in; - Education and programming for the adaptive athlete (i.e., exercise safety, risk mitigation, and programming for people with physical disabilities) - Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete - Reconciling Biomechanics with Pain Science - Dry needling for the trunk and extremities.
