Dr. Nader Abdelkader obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from the University of Manitoba while concurrently competing at the national fencing circuit. During his athletic career, his appreciation for sports medicine sparked interest, having sustained several sports injuries himself. Combining his passion for health sciences and sports, he further pursued his academics at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He then completed a 3-year post graduate fellowship from the Royal College of Chiropractors of Sports Sciences. He continues to advance his expertise by undertaking extensive training in dynamic neuromuscular stabilization through the Prague School of Rehabilitation. He has also published scientific research in the areas of active rehabilitations of shoulder pathologies and hip pathologies, as well as dynamic balance assessments in athletic populations. His clinical practice includes proficient diagnoses of the neuromusculoskeletal system, manual-therapy, and advanced rehabilitative exercises. He is currently the Lead Medical Consultant for the Canadian National Fencing team and the Chair of the Medical Committee of the Canadian Fencing Federation and the Ontario Fencing Association. He was part of the medical team for several national and international competitions, including the Pan-Am Championships and the World Championships. He was also a part of the medical team for Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
