Hi, my name is Hallie Jamieson, a Certified Athletic Therapist. I am a recent graduate of the University of Winnipeg, where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Athletic Therapy. As a newly certified AT with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA), I am excited to step into this role and support individuals in the community through active recovery, injury prevention and rehabilitation. I completed two years of hands-on practicum working with the Winnipeg Wesmen Women’s Basketball team and the RINK Hockey Academy. These placements allowed me to work closely with a wide variety of ages of athletes in high-performance environments, gaining experience in injury assessment, on-field care, rehabilitation programming and return to play programming. My past clinic placements gave me the opportunity to work with the general population of all different ages and backgrounds as well so it’s okay if you aren’t an athlete, book with me and we can make you feel like one! I am certified in soft tissue release, cupping therapy, first responder care and first aid. My approach to treatment is evidence-based and client-centred, tailored to each individuals goals. Whether you are returning to sport, staying active, or just want to feel better in daily life, I look forward to helping bring athletic therapy to the community.
Your first Athletic Therapy appointment is a session designed to fully understand how your body moves, what’s causing discomfort or limitations, and how best to support your goals. This initial visit typically lasts 60 minutes and includes three key parts: assessment, treatment planning, and initial treatment. During your first visit, your Athletic Therapist will: * Review your health history, current concerns, and lifestyle factors * Assess posture, movement patterns, strength, mobility, and joint function * Identify areas of imbalance, restriction, or stress within the body * Explain their findings in a clear, easy-to-understand way * Create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs Your first visit also includes hands-on treatment, which may involve manual techniques, movement-based work, and guided exercises to begin supporting recovery, improving movement, and reducing discomfort right away.
