Lesley is a registered physiotherapist in Ontario who has been working for over 20 years to help older adults improve their cardiovascular and bone health. Lesley graduated from Queen’s University in 1996 with a degree in Physical and Health Education. From there, Lesley went on to complete a Bachelors degree in Gerontology from McMaster University in 1998. In 2002, she returned to McMaster to complete her Masters degree in Physiotherapy. Lesley stays connected with McMaster assisting in the clinical skills labs and also acting as a preceptor to physiotherapy students. Lesley received her training in acupuncture from the internationally recognized Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University. Lesley has worked as a physiotherapist in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient orthopedics, inpatients, cardiac rehabilitation, mental health, homecare and chronic disease management. She has a particular interest in Osteoporosis Management as she has been involved with Osteoporosis Canada for over 25 years and is currently BoneFitTM trained. She also has a keen interest in Stroke Recovery, helping people recover from this life altering event.. She loves working with our aging population to stay “Fit For Life!!” When not at work, Lesley spends her time with her family and tending to her many plants…inside and out!
A Physiotherapy Assessment is required for all new clients, as well as returning clients who haven't received treatment at our clinic in more than 6 months, or that have a new injury. This is a one-on-one appointment with a registered physiotherapist in a private room.
