Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science from Simon Fraser University, Omar continued to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with Honours at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego, California. He has several years of inpatient and outpatient experience, including post-operative rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, sports injuries, post motor vehicle accident, geriatrics and orthopaedics. Omar’s treatment approach utilizes an evidence-based approach with a combination of patient education, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises. He enjoys helping each client reach their rehabilitation goals through an active process in order to improve the way they move. Omar believes in lifelong education and has completed several advanced manual therapy seminar courses, Mulligan Mobilization with Movement courses and Intramuscular stimulation (IMS)/Functional Dry Needling Level 1 & 2 certification through Kinetacore. He is an avid member of the Physio Network as he enjoys keeping up with the latest evidence in physiotherapy. His next educational goal is to pursue an orthopaedic clinical specialty (OCS) under the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialities (ABPTS). In his spare time, Omar enjoys working out and playing various recreational sports including Ultimate Frisbee and Basketball. You can also find him enjoying the local mountains either snowboarding or hiking.
You must book a first visit prior to a follow up to allow your Physiotherapist adequate time to assess your injuries and establish a realistic treatment plan matching your goals for recovery. Our Physiotherapists will work one on one with you in a private treatment setting for the duration of your treatment.
