Treloar Physiotherapy Clinic

Treloar Physiotherapy Clinic

595 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V5Z 0C4

I received both my Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Integrated Sciences (neuroscience and physiology with a minor in kinesiology) as well as my Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from the University of British Columbia (UBC) Vancouver. I have a special interest in pelvic health/pelvic floor physiotherapy treatment, clinical pilates, and I also use intramuscular stimulation (IMS) with my clients. I have taken courses in each of these areas treat individuals of all genders, with histories that include (but are not limited to!) proactive pelvic floor preparation in pregnancy, post-partum recovery, optimizing bowel/bladder function, prolapse, pelvic pain, and urinary leakage. I’ve been an athlete (skiing, tennis, running and more!) and worked with athletes for years now. I’ve supervised the UBC varsity athletes’ tutoring program, and wrote the UBC athletics online orientation course. I love to build physiotherapy programs that keep you as active as possible throughout your rehabilitation. Physical activity and sport are ways that I’ve met incredible friends, maintained my mental health and unleashed my competitiveness. Physical therapy lets me use my specialized knowledge to educate on these topics that I love wholeheartedly. I also think it’s important to have discussions about health areas that can go overlooked – such as the pelvic floor. I choose to work at Treloar for the atmosphere and mentorship – the physiotherapists at Treloar have a lot of experience, and we are always willing to discuss the best technique(s) we’ve found to help our clients. I’m personally passionate about new experiences! Be that more physiotherapy knowledge (find me taking more advanced practice pelvic floor physiotherapy courses soon!), being a bookworm, trying new hikes, and planning my next trip. I also love a good inquiry in general – feel free to ask me all your questions in-session. I’m happy to spend time talking about the how and why.
