Mara has a special interest in treating the TMJ (jaw) area and developed her skills through in-depth study, training with world leaders and collaborating with specialists from the dental field. She has taken many additional courses, from Manual Therapy and Dry Needling to pain science and uses an Integrated System Models approach to incorporate all her varied skills into clinical practice. She grew up knowing she would be a doctor but, inspired by her passion for the outdoors and staying active, she decided to find a career path that would also motivate others to participate in maintaining their physical and mental health through movement.
This is an appointment for new patients that have not previously booked with a Physiotherapist at Spine & Sports North End and that have been referred specifically for TMJ treatment by their Dentist or Orthodontist. This appointment will include a full assessment of the condition, appropriate treatment with education and exercises/stretches if appropriate.
