Clara was drawn to acupuncture because of the holistic and natural approach of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She came to realize, through her own health journey, that there is a deep interconnectivity within the body and that given the right environment and guidance the body has an intuitive ability and desire to heal itself. Learning that acupuncture also recognizes these principles sparked an immediate curiosity and passion for the medicine. Clara enjoys treating a wide variety of ailments, however she has a keen interest in treating stress and the various symptoms that arise from chronic and acute stress in the body, women’s health including hormonal imbalances, fertility and perinatal support, facial acupuncture and microneedling, and pain. In her treatments, Clara’s goal is for clients to feel heard, understood and cared for as the unique individual they are. She considers your story, symptoms, and health goals in an open-minded way, and works with you to create an achievable treatment plan. She includes client education in most sessions to enhance treatment efficacy, as well as home care plans and lifestyle advice as needed. Clara is trained to provide fire cupping, Gua Sha, electro-stimulation acupuncture and moxibustion therapies (herbal heat therapy). She has further training in facial rejuvenation acupuncture, orthopedic and electro-stimulation acupuncture. Clara is a registered acupuncturist in good standing with the CTCMA. She completed her studies at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, after completing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Victoria.
