Colleen is a graduate from the Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy and is excited to support the therapeutic and sports related needs of patients at Re+Active Sports Medicine! Colleen’s unique passion of manual therapy combined with functional movement addresses the root cause rather than the individual aches and pains an individual may be experiencing. Colleen is especially passionate about the importance of continued movement as we age. She grew up dancing ballet, was an avid cyclist, coached and participated in CrossFit for 8 years as L2 coach. She now coaches HYROX classes at GoodLife. Movement is what drew Colleen to the practice of Massage Therapy. Having had previous injuries, impairments and strains, she values the healing touch of massage. Colleen offers a variety of traditional Swedish techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations and stretching. Colleen is also a certified Fascial Stretch Therapist Level 2 (FST). Colleen is a proponent of manual therapy, along with prescribing remedial exercises to stabilize and strengthen joints and muscles. She offers manual / neurostimulation scar work to reduce adhesions and allow the body to move more freely. She is also trained in pre and postnatal work and breast massage.
