Chareen graduated from Dalhousie University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After taking a few years to explore around the world Chareen moved back to Halifax and enrolled in the 2200 hour Massage Therapy Program at ICT Northumberland College. She has been a registered massage therapist with the Massage Therapists’ Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS) since 2004. Chareen uses traditional Swedish massage techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, stretches, joint mobilization techniques, craniosacral techniques and traditional Chinese cupping. After additional training she has recently added Thai Yoga Massage and Indian Head Massage. In 2011 Chareen received her diploma in Acupuncture from the College of Acupuncture and Therapeutics. Since that time she has been a member with the Maritime Association of Registered Acupuncturists (MARA).
