Growing up being good at science and loving to work with people, a career where I get to rehab those going through long-lasting side-effects take back their lives made a lot of sense. I stumbled into the field of Kinesiology when I noticed how misunderstood “exercise management” can be, and growing up an artsy theatre kid helped me understand just how broad a category healthy movement can encompass. I graduated with a BSc (honours, co-op) in Kinesiology, with a minor in Rehabilitation Sciences in 2020 during the pandemic and am currently finishing a MSc in Kinesiology focusing on the biomechanics of the shoulder. I’ve published some lymphatics research with academic colleagues on wearable garments, compression pumps, and treatment of fibrosis with ultrasound. In 2025, I registered with the College of Kinesiologists and finished my Complete Decongestive Therapist training with the Vodder Academy, became Bonefit certified, and finished my Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training. Using individualized exercise prescription and management, as well as a variety of manual therapy and supportive modalities, I treat a variety of chronic management conditions. My goal is to empower you to learn how to manage chronic illness in a way that makes sense with your life goals and get you back to doing what you love.
This comprehensive initial assessment is designed to establish a clear understanding of your current health status and treatment needs. We will begin by reviewing your detailed health and injury history, followed by checking key vital signs to ensure a safe and informed approach to care. A thorough functional assessment will then be completed, which may include posture and movement analysis, range-of-motion testing, strength evaluation, and other assessment tools tailored to your goals. This initial assessment can support a variety of needs, including injury or post surgery rehabilitation, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) treatment planning, or compression garment fitting. Depending on the findings and available time, your session may also include an introductory treatment component such as guided exercises, mobility work, and manual lymphatic drainage techniques to help you begin your personalized treatment plan.
