Adrienne Recknagel, RMT

396 Pacific Avenue, Suite 201, Toronto, ON, M6P 1Z2

Adrienne graduated from the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2008 and has been enjoying practicing massage ever since. She believes in the subtle power of massage therapy as a healing and wellness modality not only for it’s ability to release tight structures and nourish the body’s tissues, but also for it’s restorative and calming effects on the nervous system. By offering this gentle support, massage can help to decrease pain, increase function and assist the body’s natural healing capabilities. Adrienne’s approach to treatment is client centred and collaborative. She incorporates a variety of tools including Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, craniosacral therapy and deep tissue techniques. She aims to access deeper structures in a way that still feels relaxing and strives to maintain an open, inclusive and empathetic presence with all of her clients. Adrienne loves to work with clients as part of their regular self-care routine. She also practices pre and post-natal massage and has experience treating a variety of conditions including back pain, headaches, whiplash, TMJ Syndrome, shoulder dysfunctions, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Tendonitis and other repetitive strain injuries. When not massaging, Adrienne enjoys practicing yoga, hanging out in the park and making art with her nine year old daughter. She is currently enrolled in the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University.
