Dedric Carroll is the Founder and Clinical Director of Empirical Knead, a science-informed medical massage and neuromuscular therapy practice. With over 15 years of experience as a massage therapist and educator, Dedric brings a rare depth of clinical insight to every session. For more than 13 years, he has collaborated on clinical research with Emory University, contributing to multiple peer-reviewed publications examining the efficacy of massage therapy in addressing inflammatory conditions, including generalized anxiety disorder and cancer-related fatigue. This research-driven foundation informs a highly precise, evidence-based approach to bodywork. Dedrics work integrates neuromuscular therapy, structural integration, and fascia-informed techniques to create individualized treatments designed to improve function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. As the architect of the Empirical Knead model, he also mentors and trains the Empirical Knead therapists, ensuring every client receives care grounded in clinical research, skilled assessment, and thoughtful execution.
After your first trimester, a prenatal massage does wonders for you and your loved ones. Back pain, hip pain, shoulder, neck, jaw pain, swelling and lymphedema are some common ailments relieved with a prenatal massage. With a prenatal massage, we can also do stretching, cupping, lymphatic drainage and/or reflexology. Look for the add-ons to lengthen and tailor your session.
