From his first personal experience with injury, Mark knew that his purpose would be to share with others the joy of regaining mobility and return to their normal. Consequently, Mark went on to complete his Honors B.Sc. in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa followed by his M.Sc. in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. During his time in Toronto, Mark worked with some of the leading facilities in the country including his time with the Advanced Practice physical therapists at Mount Sinai’s joint assessment clinic, the Multi-Organ Transplant Unit at Toronto General Hospital and the Neurosurgery and Trauma Unit at St. Michael’s Hospital. His extensive experience across the spectrum of care allows him to better tailor your rehab program to goals, lifestyle and stage of recovery through exercise, education and a collaborative approach. Mark is also committed to being a lifelong learner, having pursued continuing education in manual therapy, dry needling, sports rehab and running. In his spare time, Mark believes in giving back to the community and accordingly has been involved for the past 2 seasons with the CCHL’s Carleton Place Canadians’ hockey club as a team trainer/therapist. If he’s not at the hockey arena or on the basketball court, you can find Mark cheering on his Raptors. He is always accepting new patients of all ages and lifestyles and is looking forward to helping you meet your goals!
If this is the first time seeing our physiotherapist for this specific injury, we must conduct a full thorough assessment. This will allow time for the Physiotherapist to assess and explain your diagnosis and plan, as well as provide a treatment. All of our assessments and treatments are carried out in private rooms to ensure your comfort.
