Kieran Hogg Physiotherapist MScPT BSc KIN Kieran grew up in Port Colborne where physical activity and sports were a large part of his life. He was exposed to physiotherapy while rehabilitating various injuries as a result of these pastimes, which eventually led him to have a special interest in human anatomy and movement. As a result of these budding interests, he decided to attend University of Waterloo and studied kinesiology on a co-op undergraduate program. During this experience, Kieran was exposed to more facets of physical health and wellness through his placements in industrial ergonomics, evaluating job-related injuries and ergonomic interventions for injury prevention. Eventually these experiences led to a stronger desire to pursue physical rehabilitation as a career, and he went on to attend Queen’s University in Kingston where he obtained his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. Graduating in 2019, Kieran spent his first 2 years of practice in Niagara Falls, before moving to Thunder Bay, Ontario, where he continued to practice in orthopaedic rehab. Kieran and his wife, Carla, spent 4 years in Thunder Bay, before deciding to move back to the Niagara Region, where the two of them now reside. Kieran’s special interests in physiotherapy include sports injury rehabilitation, post-operative care, work-hardening programming, and vestibular therapy. He is passionate about providing care that is evidence-based, involving movement and exercise, education, and manual therapy to help his clients of all ages and backgrounds achieve their physical and functional goals. Outside of the clinic, Kieran’s interests include road cycling, weightlifting, hiking and canoe tripping, as well as relaxing with friends and family or reading a good fantasy novel.
