Fascia is a connective tissue that runs uninterrupted throughout the body wrapping around muscles, joints and organs. Craniosacral The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid of the central nervous system. This system has a pulse - like your breathing rhythm or heart rate that can be felt all over the body. A practitioner of craniosacral therapy can feel this pulse to detect any restrictions or imbalances. Then with gentle manual techniqes, release the restrictions and alleviate the tension on the central nervous system. It can also relieve tension on the muscles, joints and internal organs. Visceral Manipulation Viscera refers to the internal organs of the body as in the liver, kidneys, digestive system etc. Visceral manipulation is a gentle hands-on therapy, acting on the fascia that wraps around the organs. The combination of these modalities has a profound, yet subtle effect on the body. Releasing tension in the fascial system, allowing for a greater sense of ease and less discomfort in the body as a whole.
